The Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (from the College of Arts and Sciences), in cooperation with the College of Education and the Graduate School, hosted the 2010 Bicol Regional Science Conference: Links to Life last 27 February 2010 at the Madrigal Amphitheater, Ateneo de Naga University.
This year's conference aimed to discuss pertinent concepts and issues related to science research and education, specifically in biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental sciences. It also aimed to provide our science faculty to share their research/innovations in science and science teaching, an attempt to concretize "The Ateneo Educator who remembers that talents and competencies are gifts to be shared with others."
The convenors for the event were Michael Clores, Ph.D. (Program Director for the Natural Science), Alfredo Fabay, Ph.D. (Dean, Graduate Studies), and Arnulfo Reganit, EdD (Dean, College of Education). Over seventy (70) science educators participated in the event.
The conference started with Plenary Session in the morning, followed by two Concurrent sessions, and a closing ceremony in the afternoon.
