The Ateneo de Naga University-Center for Local Governance in partnership with the Camarines Sur Bankers Association conducted a half-day Lecture-Discussion on Parliamentary Procedures for the members of the said association. The activity aimed to: (1) know the Law and Fundamental Principles of the Parliamentary Procedure; (2) present the proper procedure of conducting meetings & sessions in the organization; and (3) undergo an actual demonstration of conducting meeting/ session.
The said activity was conducted by Atty. Imee Abardo-Estrada, one of the trainers of the CLG. She covered the different processes involved in the conduct of a meeting or session, which includes parliamentary rules, principles and practices to ensure orderly discussions, enabling the main laws to be articulated, reconcile conflicts, determine the will of the majority and take united action for transactions.
The activity was held at the Mactan Hall, Regent Hotel, Naga City on April 6, 2010, spearheaded by the Camarines Sur Bankers Association President Mr. Bonifacio B. Borebor III. The attendees were the Bank Managers or Representatives of the following: Allied Bank, Banco De Oro, Banco Filipino-Naga & Iriga, Bank of Commerce, Bank of Makati-Naga, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Card Bank, Inc., Development Bank of the Philippines, East West Bank, Land Bank of the Philippines-Naga & Sipocot, LBC Bank, Metrobank, Philippine National Bank-Naga & Goa, Philippine Savings Bank, Postal Bank-Naga, Queenbank, Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. Savings Bank, Robinsons Bank, Security Bank, United Coconut Planters Bank-Naga & Pili and Veterans Bank.
